Minimum qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working in Data Science and with application of reliability statistics to analyze performance and failure data of an electromechanical product.
• 1 year of experience working with SQL for data extraction and Extract Transform Load (ETL) across standard commercial databases.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to embrace change and exhibit a bias for action.
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity and manage/coordinate multiple project assignments and teams simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, accepting accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.

The team identifies time-consuming internal processes and then builds solutions that are reliable and scalable enough to work within the size and scope of the company. You listen to and translate Googler needs into high-level technical specifications, design and develop recommended systems and consult with Google executives to ensure smooth implementation. Whether battling large system processes or leveraging our homegrown suite of Google products for Googlers themselves, you help Googlers work faster and more efficiently.

With your technical expertise, you build business applications and influence the design of features that improve the reliability of our applications and systems. You also define the scope of technical projects and oversee execution.

Customer Interaction Management Solutions (CIMS) Data and Analytics team partners to deliver centralized, robust data, and insights across a wide portfolio of customer interaction solutions. These enable Product Areas (PAs) to meet their business goals using appropriate technologies, and drives implementations and integrations. We act as strategic business partners, identifying customer value, areas of risk, and increasing efficiency across Google’s support operations.

As a Business System Analyst, you will partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to deliver and scale durable data products and models (e.g., jobs, utilities, libraries, ML models, and visualizations). You will be responsible for technology that moves and translates data used for critical strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external technology and business teams to define analytic and data requirements associated with business processes.
• Identify priorities and the roadmap for improvements in business analysis and cross-team execution.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of core data and role-related knowledge, Google-wide technologies, and methods.
• Participate in systems and data implementation projects (i.e., requirements documentation, systems configuration, data models, dashboard design, test documentation/execution, and issue identification and resolution).
• Translate business requirements/needs into technical data solutions. Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned component(s) of a project.
