Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, a related field,or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in image processing, machine learning or computational photography.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Doctorate's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of industry experience related to camera auto white balance algorithm development.
  • Experience in mobile systems.
  • Understanding of camera sensors.

About the job

In this role, you will manage projects in multiple areas with your expertise. You also monitor the performance of vendors working on projects and evaluate new technologies.

You will also develop a machine learning based camera ISP automatic tuning system and extend autotune strategy to other camera blocks such as auto white balance. The image quality benchmark models are developed and to be applied to automatic tuning and testing, product IQ evaluation systems across internal and partner projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design image quality evaluation methods for camera image and video quality.
  • Participate in Google Pixel camera auto white balance/color tuning and image quality evaluation.
  • Develop a machine learning based auto-tuning system for camera ISP and auto white balance/color.
  • Develop advanced algorithms for auto white balance and color.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams.
