Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with statistical software and programming using R, SQL, or similar in datasets to construct data analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Economics or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience identifying opportunities for business improvement and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives.
• Understanding of the mobile ecosystem.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver findings of analysis.

The Android Data Science team drives the data science initiatives (metrics, experiments, deep dive analyses, modeling, etc) for the entire Android organization. We cover a wide range of diverse products.

In this role, you will increase the productivity of all engineers in the ecosystem starting right here at Google. You will enable everyone to ship high-quality code quickly. The goal is to take the operating system to new heights of efficiency, velocity and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Drive metrics development, experimentation and analysis for various stakeholders.
• Provide analytical guidance and leadership on product development, product evaluation, and strategic product selections.
• Develop analysis tooling to scale proper statistical plan making.
• Provide technical and statistical guidance to other members of Android Data Science.
