Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience managing carrier certification including scheduling, testing, and execution
  • 5 years of experience with cellular radio technologies and features such as 2G/3G/4G LTE, VoLTE, 4X4 MIMO, 5G, antenna design, etc., and their deployments among global cellular network operators (Carriers)

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in modem/telephony technology stack and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge in carrier certification processes for United States carriers
  • Familiarity with industry standard certification bodies
  • Familiarity with Android

As a Program Manager on Pixel Carrier Testing and Certification team, you will be working with on-time certification and testing reports delivery. You will consolidate all the Carrier Certification and test reports requirements with the consideration of the goal timelines to draft certification and testing schedules. You will make sure the testing start and end date is secured. You will maintain regular updates from the external parties and also share the latest updates with the internal teams. You will collaborate with development teams for troubleshooting and assist them to fix the issues efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Carrier Type approval (TA) process including Carrier requirements delivery, sample management, certification schedule, and packaging requirements.
  • Collaborate with software teams to triage and prioritize Carrier-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the launch team to optimize the On-shelf date for the product.
  • Anticipate issues and propose solutions, manage dependencies and cross-functional issues, and identify the need to develop or improve tools/processes.
  • Collaborate with other Carrier program managers in the team on program updates and represent in product meetings as needed.
