Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in data science or a related role.
  • Experience with articulating business and product questions, pulling data from datasets using SQL and using statistical tools (e.g. R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of business intelligence technologies and their application, including SQL based database warehousing and dashboarding.
  • Knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation.
  • Ability to translate analysis results to business recommendations.
  • Excellent business judgment, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Passion of data, metrics, analysis and trends.

As an Executive Product Analyst at Google, you will manage complex analysis and modeling delivering business insights and drive change. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations and Product teams to track metrics and impact and will also work cross-functionally to drive efficiencies and tracking of performance with responsibility for reporting on these.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver investigative solutions to identify and track opportunities and improvements how our users can contribute on maps.
  • Work with large data sets, automate data extraction, build monitoring/reporting dashboards and use state-of-the-art infrastructure to enable scaled self-service analytics.
  • Prioritize and communicate user needs, make recommendations and drive implementation for product or process changes. Identify and prioritize issues and key strategic growth opportunities.
