Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, AI and Health, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with leading an applied research agenda with a focus on AI and Health.
  • Experience building Research and Development teams from end to end.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with translating research to application.
  • Ability to work across a cross-functional and multi-geographical team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in modulating between development and team mentorship depending on the phase of the team and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize the consumer health vertical from the research community, capabilities within Google, and narratives for health impact.
  • Partner with clinical, product management, engineering, and other research teams across Google to focus applied research efforts into product strategy.
  • Maintain internal stacks and tools to enable research interfacing with disparate product teams.
  • Set the local team culture and act as a site lead.
