About the job

Project Starline from Google combines advances in hardware and software to enable friends, families, and coworkers to feel together, even when they're cities (or countries) apart. Imagine looking through a magic window and through that window, you see another person, life-size and in three dimensions. To make this experience possible, we are applying research in computer vision, machine learning, spatial audio, and real-time compression. As the Technical Program Management Lead, you will serve as a team lead for a Technical Program Management group including small-scale manufacturing, system deployments, and as an individual contributor driving our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will work with a talented, small, fast-paced team in many different functions across Team Leadership, Hardware, Supplier Management, and internal and external partner relationships. You will also directly manage a small-scale production operation.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and guide a Technical Program Management team to successfully execute small-scale build, deployment and subsequent user research, and eventually manufacturing and product adoptions.
  • Generate and drive schedule with both internal teams and external suppliers for the build and deployment of both internal prototypes and full-scale product production.
  • Engage with Google’s manufacturing operations teams and external partners to define and implement a manufacturing strategy.
