Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience launching and innovating consumer-facing creative features.
  • Experience in learning burgeoning technical concepts and applying them to product design.
  • Experience driving decisioning in ambiguous product areas.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or image/video processing algorithms for imagery applications.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for creativity, photography, videography, and AI.

In Google Research, we collaborate with the consummate professionals in the functional areas of computer vision, graphics, machine learning, and AI to develop novel techniques to solve problems for the consumer facing imagery space. We partner with product areas to bring research ideas to life in a practical context, taking into consideration real-world implications including available compute, user experience, quality and inclusion.

As a product manager, you will work closely with research scientists to invest in new approaches to solve longstanding problems, and apply those approaches by designing and implementing features .

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You will work on complex problems that drive product development.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with research counterparts to drive new investments and a product/tech roadmap for innovation.
  • Design, and execute differentiating AI imaging experiences that can disrupt the smartphone space.
  • Collaborate across product areas like Pixel Camera, and Google Photos to build the experiences.
  • Work with Marketing, Communication, and creative agencies to tell the story of the experiences.
