Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a numerate field (e.g.,Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in analytics or data science.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with multiple data sets, to generate reporting/insights.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g.,R, Python) and techniques (e.g.,experimental analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, etc.).
  • Ability to work with engineering practices around analytical excellence (e.g., development of BRDs/PRDs/Design Docs, checking in and reviewing code, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize data into useful formats and bring actionable insights through effective communication.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines, in a high paced and dynamic environment.

The Data, Architecture, Tools, and Analytics (gDATA) team leverages big data sets, analytical tools and techniques, and business partnerships to enable the gTech Ads business to provide an excellent customer experience and drive smart business decisions. As a Business Analyst, you will provide data-driven insights and analytical support for gTech’s Professional Services (gPS) and Customer Experience (gCare) organizations. You will be focused on solving strategic and operational problems by working with large amounts of data that reside on our internal systems, conceptualizing and building analytical solutions, generating data insights, translating them into actionable recommendations, and influencing important business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the gTech Professional Services or gCare organization to develop a deep understanding of the business, from its data and metrics, to its strategic challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership to key business stakeholders, translating data into actionable insights using appropriate analytical solutions.
  • Support business performance deep dives to identify and size opportunities for growth and efficiency, contributing to the strategic direction of the business.
  • Conduct repeatable and ad-hoc analyses to measure and interpret business trends and inform business partner decisions.
