Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g. SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in scripting or statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS).
  • Experience developing and managing metrics or evaluating programs/products.

As a Product Analyst for Pixel Biometrics, you will partner closely with the ML, Data Collection, On-Device, Product, and Security teams to build a comprehensive understanding of the system's requirements and performance. Your analysis will be used to ensure we are building a fair and secure product, drive product decisions such as data collection and feature priorities, and influence the long-term research roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth data analysis in Python/Colab to understand a variety of product behaviors such as fairness, security, and low light performance.
  • Own and drive the monthly Quality Report to ensure analysis done across the team is visible and of consistently high quality.
  • Develop statistical methodology to catch product regressions, advise on sample size and significance for pentesting and other team processes.
  • Set requirements for repeatable parameter tuning in the ML release process, influence technical decisions such as confidence interval estimation to compare release candidates.
  • Define metrics to track user experience and satisfaction and identify and diagnose regressions in field telemetry.
