Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with Data Structures or Algorithms (e.g., data structures/algorithms class, coursework/projects, research, internships, or other practical experience in school or work (e.g., open source hobby coding).
• Experience coding in a general-purpose software development programming language.
• Experience with coding in one of the following programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with one or more of the following: web or mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to start between April and December 2023.

As a key member of a small and versatile team, you design, test, deploy and maintain software solutions.

You will research, conceive, and develop software applications to extend and improve on Google's product offerings and collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information. Examples of specialist domains: UI development with AJAX and similar technologies, security, embedded systems and mobile apps (e.g., Android and iOS), developer tools (e.g., integrated development environment (IDEs), large-scale build systems, compilers).
