Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in data and analytics, management consulting, product/business financials, business intelligence, or similar environment.
  • 15 years of experience in Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Experience with databases, SQL coding, statistics tools, and statistical/ML techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, etc.).
  • Experience building, growing. and leading product analytics teams and managing managers.
  • Experience influencing product strategy and innovation with data science.
  • Experience as a business/quantitative analytics in e-commerce/payments and/or financial services.
  • Experience leading regular communications with executive management and managing/organizing work for analysts.
  • Excellent partnership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

The Google Pay Product Analytics team is responsible for ensuring that Google globally makes effective user, business, and operational decisions. Its mission and purpose is to understand user behavior to drive important business initiatives such as consumer and merchant growth, optimizing product funnels, modeling business scenarios, establishing metrics that matter, and more.

In this role, you will work closely with Payments leadership including leaders in Payments and other areas to leverage data and analytics in order to understand user and market behaviors driving executive reviews, planning, and optimizing/influencing Payments business strategies and vision.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of core products and technologies for Google Pay across countries.
  • Partner closely with Payments leadership to setup analytics support for Google Pay across countries, determine goals, and deliver analytics at scale focused on driving growth in multiple markets.
  • Manage a team, provide mentoring to develop and grow the team, and help the team make prioritization decisions and support them to communicate these to executive stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams on critical projects by independently frameworking solutions and working with complex datasets to solve analysis problems to deliver data-driven insights to shape product strategy.
  • Drive analytics stack on business problems and collaborate effectively with the broader team to align, build, and execute analytics at scale.
