About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

As the Head of Carbon Data, Analytics, and Tools, you will develop and lead the team responsible for quantifying our supply chain environmental impacts and engaging teams to design strategies to achieve our Net Zero goal. The team will develop the infrastructure to measure, track, and monitor suppliers on their emissions targets.

In this role, you will provide internal and external stakeholders with visibility and reporting on how Google is tracking towards its commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a thought leader through proven experience in hardware sustainability and expert-level knowledge of life cycle assessment and accounting methods.
  • Drive and support analytics and insights that will enable the Net Zero Supplier/Industry Engagement and Program Management teams to engage effectively with suppliers, Contract Manufacturers, and industry consortium partners.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to influence Net Zero strategy via data-driven insights
  • Map energy and facility usage of Google’s suppliers and service providers throughout our full value chain.
  • Set up and scale the tool and data infrastructure to measure, track, and monitor suppliers.
