Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g. SQL).
• Experience managing investigative projects.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
• Experience in A/B testing and causal inference.
• Experience in team management.
• Coding experience with the Google Cloud Platform.

The Waze Growth Data Science team is responsible for the product analytics and data science needs of multiple functional areas and domains in Waze, including growth and strategy, user journey and driving experience, map and community.

In this role, you will define and measure all the growth Key Performance Indicator (KPI), own a comprehensive data warehouse and delivers a unified dashboarding suite to ensure that growth and product efforts in Waze are properly tracked. You will define the data needs and analytics strategy for effective development and safe launch of features and infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Manage data analysis to make product recommendations (e.g., A/B testing, impact analysis, cohort analysis, user personas, forecasting).
• Define and measure the right KPIs and goals for new product features and business activities. Monitor performance and provide advice on any necessary changes or optimizations of the product and business activities.
• Design, develop, and automate reports and dashboards to provide insights at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate and complete analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations.
• Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, including executive management and create displays of quantitative information.
