Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in product management and development at a semiconductor company.
  • 3 years of experience in system design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with Power Management implementations in software and hardware.
  • Experience in operating systems, kernels, device drivers, schedulers.
  • Experience in performance analysis, monitoring, debug tools and methods.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) models and its application in domains such as imaging, speech and health.
  • Knowledge of SoC Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define goals, identifying opportunities and driving strategy for achieving higher levels of hardware software co-optimization in our products, with emphasis on OS and SoC opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Android team, customer hardware and software teams, and Silicon SoC team to identify opportunities and drive better optimizations for performance, power, cost, security and reliability.
  • Emphasize and focus on vertical integration to drive higher value to users in first party product offerings.
  • Emphasize and focus on domains like system level performance optimizations, power optimizations for better battery life and thermal management/ergonomics, better DRAM memory utilization for lower footprint and capacity, optimized data flow in our heterogeneous architecture, better security and privacy, increased ambient computing and enabling new experiences with other Google devices etc.
