Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience managing a test facility or program including management of test equipment, technicians and overall testing strategy.
• 5 years of experience in construction design and Mission Critical Infrastructure.
• 2 years of experience working in Data Center Operations, Construction or Design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business, engineering or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in Program and Project management.
• 2 years of experience working with Engineers responsible for design specifications of Data Center facilities and electrical, mechanical, civil/architectural or industrial engineering.
• Experience in architectural and engineering coordination/collaboration experience with Engineering, Research and Development.
• Understanding of Operations, Quality, Environmental Health and Safety, Execution, and demonstrated ability to adapt to changing requirements and solving problems.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

As a Program Manager you will manage our infrastructure test facility Data Center. You'll manage the overall facility including install and decommission of test equipment, leadership of a future team of on site technicians, and prioritization of test requests by interfacing with teams across Google Data Centers. You will enable faster time to market and inspire innovation in the data centers that help to keep the world’s internet humming 24/7, delivering results that will have a major impact on the current and future success of Google.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the infrastructure test facility operations and overall strategy and lead a team of technicians in test execution and ensure testing is completed on time.
• Prioritize test requests from multiple partner teams, manage improvement to Time-to-Market and total site construction timelines with focus on smaller building increments.
• Work cross-functionally with upstream and downstream partner teams, specifically with Global Data center server operations to help execute successful product insertions, using innovative design and assembly methods establishing streamlined and reliable deployments that meet cloud and cost goals.
• Lead and influence others, as part of projects or programs, fostering solid relationships, trust, collaboration, and ensure validation and verification of products and construction methods align to all key performance indicators and provide visibility to all partners and stakeholders.
