Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience working in analytical roles in marketing, data science, product, or strategy functions with 3 years of experience as a people manager.
  • 2 years of experience articulating problem statements, pulling data from datasets (SQL), and using statistical approaches

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measuring campaigns, and identifying business opportunities.
  • Experience in data analysis to solve problems in fast-moving and ambiguous business environments.
  • Experience with executive cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Experience building motivated analytics teams.
  • Ability to communicate analysis and recommendations across a range of audiences.
  • Ability to develop a perspective, influence, and bring people along.

The Marketing Analytics and Insights team is a group of analysts and consumer researchers working within Marketing to deliver insights that drive better decisions. We leverage deep data analytics and customer insights to unlock the potential of marketing at Google. In this role, you will manage Chrome analytics with a curiosity to understand our marketing program performance and uncover insights to imbr />prove them.

You will lead the marketing analytics function for Google Chrome, also a team of analysts and develop methodologies to understand the impact of various marketing programs for Chrome. In this role, you will identify the right metrics for success and develop measurement techniques to make investment recommendations as well as work with various internal stakeholders to support development of strategies that will improve customer engagement and business generation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing analytics for Google Chrome. Lead a team of analysts to establish success metrics and measure the impact of marketing activities.
  • Translate business questions into analytical projects that will inform strategic and tactical business decisions. Deliver analysis to influence marketing strategy (by carrying out statistical or data driven analysis that proves causality of marketing actions).
  • Drive insights and recommendations by analyzing structured and unstructured data environments, working with ease on data sets or developing decision making frameworks in situations with limited data.
  • Partner with a variety of teams and communicate insights to executive stakeholders across marketing, analytics, and data science functions to execute initiatives.
  • Build a data-driven culture within marketing that is focused on learning and upskilling analytic capabilities to improve decision making.
