Job Description

As a Product Owner in Offers and Shopping, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the design and development of the next generation of offers/ad platform to deliver value to Chase customers beyond the core financial product features. This is an opportunity to craft the product strategy, develop market-leading product innovations, and be the steward of capturing an understanding of advertising market needs, present and future, and translating into feature requirements and effectively managing in a matrix organization. The ideal candidate have advertising/marketing experience with a technical background that could help define, execute, manage, and monitor the offers/ad platform by partnering closely with the consumer and merchant product teams, design and technology. With strong ability to understand system architecture, data structures and batch processing, the Product Owner will be responsible for overseeing multiple scrum teams for batch processing and will be responsible for accuracy of data and continuous enhancements through innovation.

Job responsibilities:

  • Create and champion new ideas and use cases, intake feedback from internal stakeholders, user research and analyzing the competitive landscape and to have deep domain expertise to transform digital advertising with ground-breaking product innovation
  • Build, integrate and enhance the offers platform roadmap and prioritization
  • Assist in managing 3rd party partners and align roadmaps
  • Lead discovery on new concepts, including determining and refining business value, customer value and tech feasibility for batch platform
  • Create epics and user stories in JIRA backlog, as well as identify and engage cross-impacted teams to prioritize work
  • Refine and prioritize stories, as well as lead sprint planning and execution (along with other scrum cadences and events) for technology development teams
  • Monitor development of product (escalating issues and removing blockers) and pre-production testing, as well as conduct demos
  • Establish plan for roll-out / release of new features and functionality and define, measure and report on product analytics, performance, and success
  • Build and manage relationships across several stakeholders, including our team (product-design-technology), digital products, all other lines of business
  • Work with operations and servicing partners to align roadmaps
  • Partner with line of defense partners to maintain required controls and approvals, In addition, this individual will be accountable for maintaining end-to-end processes across Chase and external partners to ensure adherence to all applicable legal, risk, compliance controls frameworks, and request for enhancements or fixes when issue arises.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • 6+ years of experience in product development, technology, business analysis or consulting with exposure to rigorous and large-scale program and product management
  • 1+ year experience with batch processing
  • Experience in Agile approach to development and delivery
  • Experience developing roadmaps and immersive experiences to increase customer engagement and acquisition; must be user experience-obsessed
  • Experience working with system architecture, data frameworks, batch processing, real-time data/APIs, and have the ability to partner directly with technology scrum teams to translate product requirements and user stories into technology sizing estimates and requirements
  • Understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including technical capabilities and data management required for the digital advertising business, and an informed point of view on the industry’s direction and needs
  • Ability to identify and address program execution needs in a fast-paced environment; previous exposure to agile practices and ability to adapt agile tools a plus
  • Understands modern Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Business Intelligence platforms and capabilities including how to leverage multiple back-end technologies to deliver a cohesive, comprehensive, and dynamic User Interface
  • Great at balancing strategic & creative thinking and tangible execution
  • Solid organizational and project management skills, including strong follow through skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and work streams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, and convincing manner to senior stakeholders and partners and has a do what it takes attitude and is flexible, adaptable and a team-player first

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Digital advertising experience, target marketing preferred
  • Background in previous tech roles, Business Analysis or Quality Assurance
