Job Description

The Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Credit Risk Administration team is a newly formed team focused on reimagining and optimizing processing, providing data insights and leading solutions that improve Wholesale Credit Risk efficiency and effectiveness.

The team is comprised of four pillars:

  • Deliver services that standardize, simplify and enhance data quality (Credit Data Administration)
  • Build data driven solutions to enhance processes that support credit client management (Strategic Roadmaps)
  • Provide management and oversight of key initiatives (Project Management)
  • Lead the administration of core services (Governance, Monitoring and Support)

The Credit Data Management partners with the three other pillars managing the lifecycle of credit attributes beginning with the key attributes associated with the multiyear Credit Authority program roadmap. Through extensive data mining, the team will be the foundation for the design and develop of strategic solutions, remediate data quality issues, mitigate risks and improve controls in advance of strategic deployments and provide insights for the governance, monitoring and support frameworks. In this position, you will have visibility to Wholesale Credit Risk Senior Management, Wholesale Credit and Market Risk Technology Executives, Credit, Operations, Middle Office Controls, Compliance and Audit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Centrally coordinate planned Corporate and Investment Bank organizational changes to support Credit Authority Database (CAD) and Coverage maintenance
  • Evaluate the current criteria and performing studies to build algorithms for the future workflow automation for active and inactive status C1/C2 assignments
  • Lead the research and analysis for the selection of approval authority (W) levels for CAD Authorities using Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning technology
  • Manage the day-to-day Client Responsibility Unit (CRU) lifecycle from creation, attribute assignment, and client grouping for broader standardization
  • Drive the annual Firmwide CAD recertification program
  • Manage ad-hoc remediation

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • MS/BS degree in an analytical field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, and Data Science) or business degree / with an extensive track record as a analytics practitioner
  • 10+ years of industry experience in either strategy, finance, business analytics or other quantitative roles (e.g., marketing analytics, sales analytics, risk analytics, business insights) including leadership of complex projects
  • Experience navigating complex, matrix organizations responsible for supporting multiple key stakeholder
  • Proven track record executing across complex environments partnering with senior leaders of businesses and corporate organizations
  • Ability to direct the strategic thinking, synthesize insights and deliver results through a consultative approach and strong leadership skills across a global organization
  • Ability to build strong partnerships while inspiring members of a matrixed environment; overcomes challenges by building strong diverse talented teams
  • Leveraging diverse background in credit and data analytics, candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to deliver strong business results
  • Possess a natural curiosity to uncover root causes and explore solutions

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel e.g. Macros, VBA, formulas
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Alteryx and SharePoint
