CCB Data team’s mission is to provide high-quality solutions that executive leadership will use to monitor KPIs, steer the business, and make investment decisions. The position will be part of a team that will take a problem statement, find & acquire the relevant data, design & build the prototype, the solution, maintain and document.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions and governance models, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of work experience across broad range of analytics platforms, data governance, languages, and tools (Databricks, AWS, SQL, Python and Spark, etc.)
  • Experience across the Data Lifecycle and Data Governance. Programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, etc. Advanced SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)
  • Scripting skills e.g. Python, R and experience with tools such as Alteryx or similar tool. Strong understanding of data, database, AI methodologies as well as hands on relational and cloud based systems (Databricks and/or AWS Cloud experience, Atlan, Alation, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics)
  • Ensure product is adhering to all firm/ccb data publishing standards for FDO published model outputs and that the team is streamlined and consistent in its end-to-end publishing processes for further downstream consumption.
  • Own dictionary and work with analytics and technology team on new models
  • Clean up dictionary and patterns of existing finance models
  • Support model output consumption patterns
  • Shorten DRB cycle times for the product
  • Support any data related items that are impacted by CCB clearninghouse
  • Support data movement from on premise solutions to AWS (internal or vendor data)
  • Liaise with broader Finance Data Owner team to support total finance data inventory and data/platform/consumption pattern synergies within the finance portfolio
  • Liaise with CCB Finance Modeling Data Curation team as well as the Finance D&A lead on CCB Finance model data usage/inventory, data marketplace, analyst workbench, and the broader CCB data modernization roadmap to support the team’s modeling and analytics needs

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Project/program management knowledge
  • Data Science and Artificial Intelligence knowledge
  • Functional knowledge on Pricing and Forecast Modelling
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Bit-Bucket, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including planning, analysis, development and testing of new applications and enhancements to existing application.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and building APIs
  • Strong experience in cloud technologies.Advanced at Git, Scripting, Cloudformation / Terraform. Experience customizing changes in a tool to generate data products
