As an Analytics Solutions Associate on one of the many CCB Finance Product teams centered around Data, Insights, Regulatory Reporting, and Decision Optimization, you will play a key role in driving transformation in our data environment and technical solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business and in supporting core finance and business processes. You will be primarily responsible for planning, directing, managing, and implementing end to end solutions for data infrastructure, data products, and analytics output. You will support key stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and our consumer lines of business to support analytics, reporting, and development of new solutions to meet the needs of senior stakeholders and the Finance organization.

Through your ability and passion to think beyond raw and disparate data, you will create data visualizations and intelligence solutions that will be utilized by the organizations top leaders to reach our key strategic objectives.

The Field Performance Reporting & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible for the development, production, and transformation of financial data and reporting across CCB. Our vision is to improve the employee experience and increase value to the firm by leveraging the power of our data and the best tools to analyze data, generate insights, save time, improve processes & control, and lead the organization in developing skills of the future.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Seek to understand the stakeholder use cases empowering you to anticipate stakeholders’ requirements, questions, and objections.
  • Lead intelligence solution requirements gathering sessions with varying levels of leadership, complete detailed project planning utilizing JIRA to record planned project execution steps.
  • Source and maintain the Financial and Operational data required to transform and maintain the Field Performance Reporting scorecards on a weekly basis.
  • Partner in the development of data wrangling workflows, data visualization solutions utilizing ThoughtSpot and Tableau and other end-user reporting interfaces and that provides intuitive insights to our key stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough control testing of each component of the intelligence solution providing evidence that all data and visualization are providing accurate insights and evidence in the control process.
  • Generate detailed metadata on existing and new data models.
  • Become a subject matter expert in these responsibilities and support team members in becoming more proficient themselves.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of financial solutions architecture, software development, data engineering, data science or business intelligence engineering experience, preferably related to financial services domain.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing advanced data visualization and presentations preferably with Tableau or ThoughtSpot
  • Experience with relational databases optimizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data.
  • Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Databricks, Snowflake, Curator
  • Hadoop, Hive and Spark, SQL, R, Unix/Linux, SAS, AWS and data warehousing
  • Ability to work in Agile environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or another quantitative subject
  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
