Job Description

As a senior leader in Infrastructure Support, you’re eager to put your never-ending curiosity about technology and your need to never stop innovating to good use in order to help business run better. Here, you’ll do just that, directly overseeing nimble, energetic senior IT teams as you work to deliver end-to-end enterprise services. You’ll be an agent of organizational, operational, and technological change, setting team goals, priorities, and objectives that align with our overall strategy. You’ll focus on specific areas such as incident, risk, problem and change management, vendor and client relationships, internal and external communications, product delivery, lifecycle management and product evolution. You’ll set expectations and standards in KPIs, budgets, financials, business plans, objectives, and milestones. You’ll coach, manage, and mentor people directly with your in-house team and in collaboration with dedicated problem-solving technologists across the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global network.

  • This position will represent Employee Platforms(EP) for Technology Resiliency, coordinating closely with other LOBs in the region and Cybersecurity and Technology controls (CTC)
  • Primary focus will be on driving EP’s resiliency roadmap which includes public/private cloud and cyber resiliency controls as well as managing the Technology Resilience compliance and testing obligations for the region (including MEPC events)
  • Drive improvements through modernization of components and increased automation to achieve low touch or no touch failover capability
  • Experience coordinating Resilience or Technology Power down events a plus
  • Requires strong engagement with Business Resiliency partners including the Firmwide Business Resilience (FBR) team and Business Service Owners
  • Uphold expectations for the team and business partners to meet FBR standards of required recovery capability and documents e.g., Technology Recovery Action Plans (TRAP) specific to cyber or other related data loss scenarios
  • Assist application teams with coordination of data related resiliency test events and tasks
  • Assess and consult regarding current application backups capability and target state
  • Oversight and follow-up on non-compliant controls at an application and component level
  • Engage regularly with peer and senior Technology and Business leaders to keep focus on resiliency; be visible and available to partners
  • Guide the team through Action Plan resolution, internal opportunities and overall strengthening of GTI and partner Recovery Plans; drive simplification of processes and procedures
  • Promote the resiliency program by communicating policy or system changes clearly and concisely offering additional support and guidance, as needed
  • Advocate for stakeholders to inform the resiliency program where there are opportunities for improvement
  • Develop firmwide relationships (CIB, AWM, CB, IP etc.) to generate best practice sharing

Experience:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of Technology experience is required – Engineering, infrastructure and database experience is strongly preferred
  • Modern Skills preferred: Data Science, Automation, Cloud etc.
  • Desire to learn more modern skills and continued self-improvement a plus
  • Knowledge of database fundamentals and products is strongly preferred
  • Chaos engineering knowledge or background preferred
  • Program, project, or product management and organization skills
  • Proven success in leading a team or function with a focus on metrics and high quality
  • Demonstrated success in managing effective relationships within the firm, at multiple levels
  • Knowledge of technology resiliency fundamentals is preferred
  • Demonstrated examples of process simplification with a risk and controls mindset
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication to various levels in the organization
  • Confident and strong executive presence
