Card Marketing Analytics team within CCB Data & Analytics is responsible for measuring the effectiveness and driving the strategy of Chase’s Credit Card marketing campaigns. The results and learnings from these analyses, which seek to quantify both statistical and practical significance, are used for future campaigns and to optimize Chase’s multimillion dollar marketing spend. 

As a Marketing Analytics Associate within the Card Data & Analytics team you will focus on translating customer behavioral data into insights that drive marketing strategies to influence card acquisitions on digital/offline channels. You will develop, plan, and execute on analytical projects as an individual contributor.

We are seeking an Associate ready to be a key member of the Channel Analytics team to work closely with Analysts, Channel Marketing and Risk partners, Data Owners, and Product Owners to deliver capabilities that unlock the power of our data.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze performance, segmentation, targeting of customers to improve acquisitions, including ECM targeting/strategies for acquisitions for Paid channels and Branch.
  • Collaborate with the channel, product and Finance teams across marketing acquisition to Deliver on the analytical agendas to optimize performance.
  • Work with direction from senior associates and leads to drive end-to-end analytics for multiple acquisition campaign strategies across channels which includes, regular campaign performance measurement, unstructured ad hoc analysis of customer behavior, A/B and incremental test reads, and profitability and optimization analysis.
  • Partner with marketing strategy managers across Card channels to optimize campaigns and develop new strategies and continuously develop skills to provide best-in-class analytics to influence and grow new card acquisitions.
  • Support business growth targets by providing concise, insightful, and timely analytics for key trends by analyzing large datasets.
  • Synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights to influence business and marketing strategies.
  • Be a storyteller capable of delivering practical data insights in a compelling manner actionable by senior leadership using presentations, discussions, and visualizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as business, data science, finance, economics, engineering, or mathematics. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quantitative Analytics for Financial Products, preferably for Cards Marketing strategies
  • 5+ years of experience querying big data platforms/languages (Greenplum, Hadoop, R, Python) and analyzing the data through visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill - need to clearly articulate analytics and forecasts to business partners and leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to create analytical datasets by setting up step by step approach wrangling data across multiple data platforms/sources using SQL/SAS/Python/Alteryx (other similar tools)
  • Demonstrated proficiency to put together ad-hoc/automated summary views to generate analytical insights through data in quick turnaround using Tableau/Excel (other similar tools)
  • Hands on experience to design and code automation framework to bridge gaps within existing processes and data.
  • Result oriented, Proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving - ability to pull together information from numerous sources, deal with ambiguity, and develop logical solutions based on limited information.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Financial services background. Prior exposure to Marketing and/or Strategic analytics is preferred.
  • Ability to tell story through data and generate insights to drive stakeholder deliverables.
  • Intellectually curious and eager to become subject matter expert in their focus area.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to focus on business goals and OKRs.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
