Job Description

As a Sr Product Analyst in Card Data, you will dive in to understand the journey of card data across our platforms. You will leverage your ability to navigate cloud environments alongside your data science skills to investigate and uncover issues in all card data products. You will use a data-driven approach to drive deep understanding of our rapidly evolving business and platforms – and work with an acceleration-minded team to quickly prototype solutions to issues. Both this team and this role have the ability to deliver very impactful and very visible solutions as you work alongside our tech teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
  • Develop sustainable processes for cleaning, harmonization, and integration of diverse data to produce analysis-ready datasets.
  • Maintain custom data scripts and documentation.
  • Analyze data products and deliver polished insights.
  • Design data flows and distill complex technical environments into logical concepts.
  • Summarize data using tabular and graphical presentations. This may include generation of interactive visualizations using R-Shiny or similar frameworks.
  • Work alongside tech teams to create processes to productionalize the data products.
  • Write stories and epics to guide the work of others following in your prototyping footsteps.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle.
  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or related field.
  • Ability to perform data wrangling and statistical analysis using Python or R, and associated relevant packages.
  • Technical ability to understand, design, and explain complex product and data strategies to both business and technical audiences.
  • Superior communication skills - oral and written.
  • Independently driven, tenacious, hardworking and a team player.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or related field.
  • Experience with R/Shiny app development.
  • Experience with data pipelines and cloud environments.
