As a Vice President of Digital Learning Design within the Excellerate Team, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that promote learner engagement and improve employee skills, knowledge and job performance. You will work with a team of key contributors in the launch of our state-of-the-art gamified performance support platform. Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates personal ability to develop trending digital micro-learning content on par with expectations of team members; maintains strong knowledge of industry innovations, social media trends and best practices, including video-first platforms, such as YouTube and TikTok
  • Create, coach, and drive the development of high-quality videos and graphics using industry applications (e.g., Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, (Premier Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop), Camtasia, After Effects, Adobe Animate)
  • Employs design thinking, digital design, and agile development processes to drive learning retention
  • Offers timely, actionable feedback to help others uphold quality standards, and ensure learning products which consider modern learner and social media trends
  • Create a culture where all team members can share diverse perspectives and thrive to produce quality results
  • Oversee and enhance internal processes to support content inventory, design practices, project execution, and other needs
  • Consults with business leaders to identify performance trends, defines learning strategies, and oversees plans to implement solution
  • Oversees development and implementation of the learning strategy which may include project management, learning solution development, measurement and evaluation strategy development, and other key aspects
  • Drives impactful learning products by considering modern learner and social media trends that effectively improve key performance indictors (KPIs)
  • Contributes and works collaboratively in a team setting, iterates solutions, exhibits adaptability, and explores new tools/approaches to deliver solutions at the speed of the business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Instructional/Digital Design technology, Digital Media Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, User Experience/User Interface, Computer Science or Instructional Design
  • 5+ years of experience in video production, graphic design, and other digital media solution development
  • 5+ years managing teams successfully to meet business objectives, including building organizational and employee capability
  • Proven experience effectively managing, coaching and developing employees
  • 5+ years’ experience in performance consulting - identifying root cause, performance gaps, recommending non-training solutions
  • Strong attention to detail in developing and publishing learning solutions, and ensuring accuracy and quality of content, with knowledge of ADA and WCAG 2.1 levels A-AA requirements and experience developing fully accessible digital solutions
  • Advocates for and leads change, including new approaches and processes, and challenges the status quo with the line of business and within the learning organization with an eye on innovation, efficiencies and controls
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a fast moving, deadline-driven and agile development environment; demonstrated timely task completion and quality of deliverables
  • Applies agile methodologies and flexibility to manage all aspects of learning development projects from needs analysis to implementation
  • Proven accomplishment in building inclusive partnerships and relationships with customers and internal clients; openness to multiple perspectives; work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes and agile development environment; demonstrated timely task completion and quality of deliverables

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience with HTM5, CSS3, JavaScript (responsive development_, SCORM, xAPI, LTI, Gamification, Video/Audio Studio production and editing, Generative Predictive Text (using artificial intelligence), 3D Modeling, Figma, Microsoft Office Tools)
  • Experience designing for a millennial audience with stimulating ideas – not your “traditional” page-turners
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and prototyping emerging technologies/approaches and consult on potential application in learning
  • Strong knowledge in educational technology, adult learning and educational best practices
  • Certification in Digital Learning Design a plus
