Job Description

As a Quantitative Analytics Lead you will develop, plan, and execute on advanced analytical projects as an individual contributor and in teams. You’ll translate between analytic and non-analytic groups as well as facilitate holistic, cross-functional learning. You’ll need to collaborate, learn, teach, and disseminate knowledge across the Data & AI community.

Job responsibilities

  • Apply strategic, data science and quantitative skills to capital markets origination
  • Build analytics for bond portfolios, with interest rate derivatives 
  • Build scenario analytics that helps understand various factors for drivers of origination
  • Manage data science and analytics strategies including recommendations on analytical products, services, protocols, and standards across the firm
  • Help build data warehouse that stores capital market data for the group
  • Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones; scale experimentation, integrate real-time data, and deliver on personalization goals
  • Shorten the analytics development lifecycle and increase the velocity at which analysts can disseminate insights
  • Work with model risk governance teams for model validation and governance
  • Be a storyteller capable of delivering practical data insights in a compelling manner actionable by senior leadership using presentations, discussions, and visualizations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7+ years of industry experience as a quantitative researcher and developer in capital markets (fixed income or rates background preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant quantitative field required (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields); advanced degree preferred
  • Experience across broad range of modern data science and analytics tools (e.g., Python, C++, Scala)
  • Experience in Recommendation Systems valuable; strong understanding of math behind machine learning algos
  • Demonstrated experience in modern data mining, quantitative research, and data science techniques (e.g., machine learning, behavioral analytics)
  • Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
  • Team Player who can help build around other people’s work and can be a strong collaborator

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Masters in Computer Science or Financial Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Capital Markets
