Job Description

As a Data Product Owner within the Commercial Real Estate team, you will be tasked with leading crucial projects that span across various functions. Your role will involve designing, constructing, and implementing data assets that are centered around our customers, for the benefit of the Commercial Real Estate stakeholders throughout the company. This position offers the chance to showcase your knowledge of data structures, data manipulation, metadata, data security, and data quality management. Additionally, you will be able to utilize your understanding of Commercial Banking businesses, functions, systems, data environments, and processes that are essential for the production and use of modeling data.

  • Able to drive the stakeholders to determine the Requirements and has strong communication and presentation skills, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Able to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and demanding environment
  • Acts as a liaison between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with your team.
  • Has experience working both independently and in a virtual, collaborative environment is essential. Comfortable working in a matrix management model with stakeholders and virtual teams across global locations
  • Able to navigate and understand technical documentation and/or system documentation
  • Identify areas for efficiency across data domains, such as the elimination of duplicate data or feeds, identify systems of record and authoritative sources, create data quality rules, create data flow diagrams, and apply firm-wide standards and controls.

 Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Computer Science / Information Systems / Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in technical project & data solutions management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their systems. Minimum 3 years of experience with in a financial services organization
  • 10+ years of industry experience, including deep technical experience with big data platforms and data management organizations
  • Strong design, coding, debugging and analytical skills, especially across the big data ecosystem ((e.g. AWS)
  • Excellent command of the SQL language
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and big data tools (Spark, Hive, HDFS, etc.)Experience in architecture, data management, application ownership, and other IT role experience
  • Must have ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines and be comfortable manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data
