Job Description

As a Sr. Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Technology and Operations Products (TOP) & Client Service and Implementation (CS&I), in Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB), you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. This role will drive the architecture for the CS&I organization that is responsible for the technology that supports customer product onboarding, servicing of customers and implementations for CIB. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions and lines of businesses. This role has high leadership visibility, and high potential for impact.

Job responsibilities

  • Sets direction for how existing systems should be combined and should evolve to deliver on our strategic vision of having one cohesive ecosystem to serve all customer servicing, onboarding and implementations across all of CIB.
  • Influences leaders across the organization on architectural decisions
  • Collaborates across the firm and vendor partners ecosystem to continually learn, innovate and adopt new data technologies and design philosophies to solve current and upcoming pain points.
  • Leads evaluation sessions to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information
  • Collaborates with solution and technical architects across CIB to influence and design scalable and resilient systems for the CS&I space.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more modern programming language(s)
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines
