Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and disciplined leader with strong experience in management, home lending and business controls. Effective driver of product and process development, communication, and collaboration with proven history of improving business operations through process improvement and regulatory adherence.

The Managing Director will be responsible for end-to-end business controls that span across Consumer Originations and data quality oversight as it relates to HMDA LAR firmwide and Fair Lending Data for use in Compliance monitoring. This leader will need to proactively provide Sr Leadership updates related to end to end control environment within Consumer Origination. Forge strong partnerships within the business Sales, Fulfillment, Transformation and Data Sciences as well as independent partners within Legal, Compliance, Risk and Controls.

The Consumer Origination Production Control organization is structured into the below 5 pillars, across which the Managing Director will have the following job responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit/Exam Issue Management, Reg B and HMDA Governance – Lead for issue management activities, and for data oversight/governance across Fair Lending Risk Data, HMDA, and Reg B Monitoring including the Centralized Cancellation Team. Liaison for business leaders to auditors, examiners, compliance, legal and control partners.
  • Additionally, provide support for troubleshooting analytics, process and reporting issues and analyze data to identify root cause and recommend corrective actions.
  • Business Practices – Lead Centralized Pricing Exception Team to adhere to Discretionary and Non-Discretionary Price Exception Reviews; Execute Call and Email Monitoring and Surveillance for Sales & Fulfillment as well as Business Practice reviews to mitigate regulatory risk.
  • Additionally, oversee engagement between Document Team and business to deliver complete & compliant documents to customers.
  • Production Quality and Information Ownership – Responsible for Flood Oversight and Monitoring, Production Quality Reviews pre and post fund, and Information Ownership across Consumer Originations.
  • Government Insuring and TRID Monitoring – Work closely with Capital Markets on Due Diligence and Salability results and process improvements. Also responsible for Government Insuring of FHA and VA loans as well as TRID Monitoring / TRID Document delivery oversight.
  • Fee Governance and Pricing Quality – Including oversight / monitoring of Fee Governance Structure, customer Pricing Benefits (SPCP, Home Buyer Grants, Affinity and Relocation), and Lender Cures which improve revenue per loan. Also responsible for validation of Relationship Pricing Discounts (ie: Net New Money).

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Executive presence and maturity with strong influencing skills and ability to influence change
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills
  • Successful history of people management and diversity and inclusion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills. Ability to understand risks and their drivers and to form, articulate and explain views
  • Strong organizational and time management skills that include the ability to manage various initiatives and high priority tasks in a deadline driven environment
  • Knowledge of Home Lending Consumer Originations will be an advantage as will previous Risk, Compliance and/or Audit experience
