Job Description

An Expense System Administrator, you will manage the configurations, testing and implementation of configurable changes to the travel & expense reimbursement system and associated/integrated systems. You will also be responsible for vendor relationships and working along side internal Technology to request the best, first-in-class Expense products for the firm. This role will require that you understand the Expense business and its policies and products including configurations, vendor roadmap enhancements and the impacts of changes on the systems and client/customer experience.

Travel & Entertainment Expense, a group within Global Supplier Services (GSS), is responsible for the procurement, submission and payment of employee business travel and entertainment expenses including use of the firm-issued corporate cards and purchasing cards, and employee cash reimbursement. We foster an environment of firm-wide, inter-department collaboration; closely working with Tax, Finance, Compliance, Legal and LOB Expense Management teams, globally.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business owners, clients/customers and stakeholders to understand and anticipate Expense needs and translate them into requirements
  • Assist the Business to define the vision and strategy for their products, and create a product road map based on this vision, while always having a control mindset
  • Manage the product requests and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
  • Develop user stories, when required. Configure and test changes in UAT before handing them to the Business for testing, and oversee all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Partner with the Business and change management to deliver updates to clients/customers. Assist with developing and archiving change management supporting documents for Audit, Compliance and Control purposes
  • Participate in scrum meetings and product sprints, when applicable
  • Manage enhancement and production breaks for the expense systems and products
  • Monitor vendor releases and identify impact to the business and client experiences
  • Train/educate customers/end-users on the expense systems and/or changes, when necessary
  • Collaborate with Operations, Automation, and other JPMC reporting and analytics teams to develop dashboard, reports, management scorecards, and analytics as part of enhancing the Global Corporate Card and Expense brand
  • Review data to pro-actively and ensure timely escalation of any trends/risks, and communicate issues and resolutions to GSS management, LOB, and stakeholders/customers
  • Write/revise Standard and/or Detail Operating Procedures to document processes and keep procedures up-to-data
  • Assist Business and Operations as needed on day-to-day processes and/or escalations, strategic initiatives, projects related to team goals and objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years experience, Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Highly skilled with project management, requirements gathering \Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel with strong experience in creating analytical reports as well as using complex formulas and macros
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze information to develop actionable recommendations to stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to identify cause/effect relationships
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Possess strong listening, analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrates creativity, curiosity and imagination and passion about continuous learning and professional development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment supporting multiple initiatives with minimal guidance

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Highly skilled or knowledgable with SAP-AP, Concur Expense, Appzen and IBM Cognos reporting preferred
  • Experience in Data Management, Data Modelling, Data Strategy or Big Data
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and specific experience with Machine Learning a plus
