Job Description

As a Product Design Lead on the Employee Experience Enterprise Technology team, you will be comfortable defining the UX strategy and scope for your product area, collaborating with other areas to ensure design and user consistency, documenting user journeys across multiple products/workflows, capturing friction points, identifying and tracking solutions and boasting progress alongside UX researchers.

Job responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong hands on design process execution: executing research, translating it into facilitated cross-functional ideation and then prototyping those into user-centric designs so that you can leverage rapid testing to validate the team’s design decisions.
  • Demystify the understanding of end-to-end experiences across products to help cross functional teams ideate and design future state experiences in a complex, highly dependent technical ecosystem.
  • Educate as you execute, translating UX and UCD concepts to your highly technical Product and engineering team where they are at Leading them alongside the design thinking process, helping contextualize and fit in that work into their teams’ agile delivery.
  • Act as UX lead for projects while also acting as a contributor to other UX’ers projects and supporting the whole Experience team in building out best UX practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in stakeholder understanding and management, maintaining strong communication and transparency of the projected vision and current state of the projects you lead.
  • Manage multiple priorities on concurrent, deadlines in a fast-paced, highly-complex environment, including navigating a highly siloed technology ecosystem with separate systems for requesting tool access, HR requests, email requests, information access, etc.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's in UX/HCI or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of UX Design & Strategy experience
  • Strong visual design portfolio and would consider yourself to be a master in Figma and the understanding of how to improve and contribute to a design system, with the ability to mentor and support others.
  • Demonstrated experience in using a variety of UX related tools and methodologies including interaction design, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe analytics, Lucid Spark, Qualtrics, persona creation, information architecture, user journey mapping, systems thinking/mapping, process flows, OOUX, wireframing and prototyping, UX research methods.
  • Proven strategic and critical thinking capabilities where you clearly identify business and technology vision and helping teams intersect with user needs by integrating OKRs and other business success goals into UX efforts, demonstrating how you have delivered for an organizations’ or products’ portfolio delivery.
  • Demonstrates the ability to champion the cause of user experience and effectively educate on its value, creatively using your skillset to switch gears from visual designer, to strategist, to facilitator, or asking for support and mentorship in any area you are still developing.
  • Proven ability to story tell the work in presentations: contextualizing for stakeholders, conveying research insights, teams’ design decisions and rationale of everything from methodologies to the efforts’ strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile and adapting and planning UX work around agile framework.
  • Experience designing for in SaaS solutions or other UI restrictive platform. ServiceNow experience highly valuable.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies like Material Design and React

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience integrating data driven technologies into work: Artificial Intelligence model creation, Data Design, IT Service Management, DevOps and Continuous Integration
  • Experience contributing UX research and design within a complex, modern organization (Fortune 100 level)
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies like Material Design and React
