The role

As a data analytics manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts to deliver datasets, dashboards, reports, and analysis to help ONE make better data-driven decisions, faster. Your mandate will be to support key business stakeholders with recommendations, insights, and self-service data solutions.

This role is responsible for: 

  • Developing expertise in ONE’s business, systems, and data.
  • Leading a team of analysts by providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure that they are meeting their objectives and developing their skills.
  • Working closely with data engineering, product analytics, and other stakeholder teams to optimize data analysis and reporting processes.
  • Building scalable and performant datasets in SQL for you and other analysts to leverage across the organization
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Creating data visualizations that help stakeholders better understand complex data sets and insights.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data issues.

You bring

  • English Proficiency Writing and Speaking
  • 7+ years of relevant analytical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in consumer financial companies
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and a scripting language like Python
  • Expertise with business intelligence tools (like Looker, Tableau, and Mode), techniques, and best practices. We use Looker and Mode
  • Expertise working with data warehousing solutions, like Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery
  • We use Databricks
  • Expertise building complex and performant analytical models using a SQL-based transformation solution. We use dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • Working knowledge of data infrastructure and tooling for ETL
  • Proven ability to translate data into compelling visualizations with BI tools
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to translate complex data models into practical business guidance
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Intellectual curiosity to look beyond the ‘what’ and answer the ‘why’
  • An act-like-an-owner mentality. We have a bias toward taking action.

Leveling Philosophy

In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at ONE. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within ONE.
