We are looking for extraordinary computational scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs to work alongside individuals within the Flagship Ecosystem focused on solving the most impactful challenges in AI and the life sciences.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), with a strong background designing and implementing data pipelines using modern tools like Prefect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient data processing pipelines to support large-scale AI and ML projects.
• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from disparate sources into a centralized data repository.
• Build and maintain distributed computing infrastructure to support machine learning and statistical analysis tasks.
• Use modern tools and technologies (e.g., Prefect, Airflow, Apache Spark, AWS Step functions) to develop and deploy scalable data pipelines.
• Work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts to understand their requirements and develop customized solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to support reproducible research and development workflows.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience developing and deploying data/model pipelines using Docker, Prefect, Airflow, on Amazon EKS or other AWS platforms.
• Familiarity with MLops using MLflow and/or Sagemaker.
• Strong grasp of machine learning concepts and algorithms, as well as experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
• Proven experience in developing complex workflows and APIs on AWS.
• Strong programming fundamentals and experience in Python or other relevant languages.
• Experience with cloud computing including writing Infrastructure as Code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data quality and processing issues.
