Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative Senior Data Scientist to join Montai Health's industry-leading analytics team on the cutting edge of drug discovery. In this role, you will employ advanced analytics techniques including our proprietary CONECTA platform to generate revolutionary insights powering rapid advancement of high-potential therapeutic candidates. Collaborating cross-functionally with leadership and stakeholders, you will optimize end-to-end analytical processes and champion expanded use of predictive analytics for data-driven decision making. Your contributions will be critical as we continue pioneering new techniques that propel the discovery of life-changing therapies.

As a key analytics leader, you will spearhead development of compelling proposals harnessing our robust in-house capabilities to unlock step-change advances across the pipeline. Whether crafting strategy for compound prioritization or planning the next frontier in platform expansion, your adaptability and commitment to excellence will accelerate Montai's mission of leveraging analytics to achieve therapeutic breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced quantitative modeling techniques to enable data-driven prioritization of Montai’s therapeutic discovery efforts
• Develop analytics pipelines leveraging compelling data visualizations to enhance communication of key quantitative insights, enabling optimization of drug development milestones
• Engage directly with scientists and senior executives to embed quantitative insights into key strategic decisions
• Champion integration of predictive analytics into high-impact nomination decisions, pipeline advancement criteria, and Go/No-Go milestone guidelines
• Assess analytical needs across drug discovery, preclinical, clinical, and CMC functions to identify high-potential use cases for advanced analytics
• Spearhead high-impact initiatives by delivering compelling proposals and prototypes that apply comprehensive analytics to propel advances in the therapeutic discovery pipeline

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field
• 5+ years experience hands-on experience in pharmaceutical industry experience, leveraging predictive modeling, optimization, and other advanced analytics to accelerate development
• Cross-functional mindset and communication skills to distill analytics insights into compelling, actionable recommendations for leadership
• Superior communication skills to explain complex analytics insights and influence executive-level stakeholders
• Mastery of R and/or Python; proficiency in SQL; deep expertise in statistical analysis, data visualization, and knowledge machine learning algorithms
• Successful track record of leveraging advanced analytics to drive innovation and accelerate therapeutic discovery timelines
• Demonstrated ability to quickly master new data science technologies and adapt analytics approaches to evolving pharmaceutical R&D needs
• Skilled at recognizing high-potential process improvements and executing analytics-powered transformations
