What's waiting for you:

  • As Senior Expert Data Scientist (m/f/d) in the Digital & IT Innovation Center you will work on complex data analysis and pattern recognition.
  • You independently identify relevant questions, use cases and associated data sources based on the divisional goals and understand the activities with regard to digital transformation in technology (e.g. digital twin).
  • You choose suitable analysis methods, ensure data quality and carry out the analyzes with catchy technologies.
  • You use the latest APIs and evaluate them.
  • You consolidate and prepare analysis results and visualize them for different stakeholders.
  • You independently develop a data science approach to automating technology systems for complex applications.
  • If necessary, you will set up an appropriate IT infrastructure, whereby the definition of requirements is in line with the big data strategy of the group.
  • You create prediction models and program the API to integrate the analysis and prediction models into operational processes.

Customers, suppliers and others:

  • You interact with interfaces in the area of ??technology, operations and with functions of the group at management level up to the group management.
  • You work together with partner companies at management and employee level.

Leadership and Teamwork:

  • You will professionally guide and support experienced and less experienced colleagues.
  • You control and support projects that affect the entire department.

Innovation and change:

  • You are responsible for innovation management and continuously look for improvements based on market trends, new analysis methods and tools.
  • You align your activities to ensure the achievement of departmental goals.

Communication:

  • You communicate within the department and in adjacent departments, e.g. in the context of projects, at work and management level.
  • You are involved in the responsible committees for the presentation of new concepts up to the board.

Technical / professional qualifications:

  • a very well completed degree (master or equivalent) in the field of computer science and/or mathematics with a focus on statistical data analysis
  • Relevant professional experience, of which at least 5 years related to data science and/or AI
  • Experience in data mining or data analytics projects
  • Expertise in common methods and technologies (e.g. R, SPSS, SAS, Python, tensorflow)
  • In-depth mathematical knowledge with a focus on statistics, data mining/pattern recognition and neural networks
  • Knowledge of method and software engineering of modern, open API
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English and German

This position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).
