What's waiting for you:

  • As an Expert Data Scientist (m/f/d) in the Digital & IT Innovation Center, you will procure, cleanse and consolidate large and complex data (big data) in the corporate environment in close cooperation with departments and colleagues.
  • You design automated processes for data integration within predictive services.
  • You develop individual use cases with methods from the field of predictive analytics and machine learning in cooperation with colleagues.
  • You implement practical use cases within the IT environment with Python.
  • You establish systemic requirements for predictive services and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.

Customers, suppliers and others:

  • You work closely with product and process managers, experts and other stakeholders from all relevant functional areas (including operations, BI, technology, digital, business).

Leadership and Teamwork:

  • You design and oversee sub-projects in the department, including analysis and implementation.
  • You support project staff and groups professionally.

Innovation and change:

  • You use methods of agile software development and apply new deep learning methods.
  • You develop innovative ideas to improve customer service and identify trends.

Communication:

  • You develop agile teams and communicate with partners.
  • You prepare analysis and project results and present and discuss them at management level.
  • You convey content in an empathetic way and show a self-confident demeanor.

What sets you apart:

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in the analysis of large, complex amounts of data and strong methodical and mathematical thinking
  • very good skills in visualization and creation of interactive graphics
  • a strong focus on goals and results, a pragmatic hands-on mentality and a high level of teamwork
  • Independent, responsible work as well as initiative and resilience
  • a strong customer orientation and strong entrepreneurial thinking

Technical / professional qualifications:

  • a degree in computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, statistics or a comparable degree
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in classic DWH/BI areas including sound theoretical and practical knowledge of SQL databases, ETL processes and programming languages
  • ideally practical experience in (agile) software development
  • practical experience in project support and project management in the field of big data and analytics
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English (C1 according to GER)

This position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).
