The Opportunity

At P&G, our goal is to empower the business with the algorithms, to augment every important business decision with the superior insights provided by the models. As a Data Scientist for P&G you will drive productivity and impact our business results across a variety of platforms.

  • As a Media and Marketing Data Scientist, you will apply predictive power of algorithms to maximize returns and optimize P&G media spend.?
  • As a Digital Commerce Data Scientist, you will take methodology of modeling to the e-retail environment, harvesting power of the big data to grow our digital sales through partnering with leading global retailers.
  • As a Supply Chain Data Scientist, you will use optimization and simulation techniques to refine and streamline our manufacturing and supply chain.
  • As a Model Risk Officer, you will partner with other Data Scientists to help improve and validate their models to ensure they are futureproofed.

In this role you will 

  • Lead cross functional teams of Data Scientist, Data Engineers, and Software Developers from the hypothesis to the finished product.?
  • Partner with other IT Functions and Business Leaders to build strategy, execute roadmaps for a large organization and communicate to the highest level of the company leadership.
  • Build and lead a high performing Data Science team, drive professional development of the team members.
  • Apply thorough technical and business knowledge to feature engineering of massive datasets, exploratory data analysis, and model building to deliver accurate and impactful business insights.
  • Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement.
  • Quantify improvement in business areas resulting from use of the algorithms and modeling.Self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with a can-do attitude and strong enthusiasm for their body of work. 

Qualifications

Required 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, etc.) or have equivalent work experience.
  • Proven leadership in applying and scaling Analytic and Machine Learnings techniques to deliver meaningful insights from data (in academia or in industry).
  • Knowledge and application of scientific computing methods i.e., Python, R, Scala

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in applying analytic mythologies such as Machine Learning, Optimization, and Simulation to a real-world problem.
  • Experience with large data sets and cloud computing.
  • Experience with Dev Ops environment: Git, CICD, etc.
  • Be a continuous learner. Keep up to date with the latest technology trends. Be willing to both teach others and learn new techniques.
