The Role

As a member of the analytics team your mandate is to bring order to vast amounts of internal and external data so ONE can make better data-driven business decisions, faster. You’ll provide visibility into ONE’s business operations through dashboards, data models, data tests, and ad-hoc analyses. You will work closely with data engineering, product analytics, and other stakeholder teams.

This role is responsible for: 

• Partnering with business stakeholders to build data solutions via data models, queries and compelling dashboards

• Building scalable and performant datasets in SQL for you and other analysts to leverage across the organization
• Conducting deep-dive analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help the company make informed decisions
• Creating reports and dashboards that effectively communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data issues

You bring

• 4-10 years of analytical experience. We have multiple roles open at different levels 
• 3+ years of experience in consumer financial companies is a must.
• Experience using business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, and Mode Analytics. We use Looker
• Experience working with data warehousing solutions, like Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery. We use Databricks
• Experience building complex and performant analytical models using a SQL-based transformation solution. We use dbt (Data Build Tool).
• Strong proficiency with SQL
• Proven ability to translate data into compelling visualizations with BI tools (Looker experience a strong plus)
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally to translate complex data models into practical business guidance
• Proven ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Intellectual curiosity to look beyond the ‘what’ and answer the ‘why’
• An act-like-an-owner mentality. We have a bias toward taking action.

Leveling Philosophy

In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at ONE. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within ONE.
