Data Science Intern (Bachelors or Masters)

Honeywell is hiring a Data Science Intern within the global fire business. You will work closely with people at all levels of the organization to help drive our strategy to expand the Connected Life Safety Services platform into our core business. You will work on innovation data products, leveraging our vast data from connected portfolio. You will work directly for the Product Offering Team who will provide guidance, mentorship and be a sounding board for your project(s).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Your time with Honeywell could be spent in any of the following ways:
• Extracting, transforming, and loading data in preparation for analysis
• Engineering features incorporating domain expertise and statistical aggregations
• Developing and evaluating statistical inference models based on those features, solving a costumer’s problem.
• Deploying analytic solutions to production platforms, ready to be used in one of Honeywell’s products or services.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science/ Engineering or related discipline at an accredited college or university.
• Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship

WE VALUE

• Be familiar with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, R, MatLab, Java, or C++
• Some frameworks we use are: Databricks and Jupyter
• Some of the tools we use include Git, Docker, Bamboo, and more
• Some of the databases we use are: Hive, Druid, MongoDB, Neo4j, and SQL
• Ability to build/ optimize large scale models to build new data products
• Ability to build/ optimize data pipelines to build scalable databases/ data lakes to run the model
• Insatiable appetite for learning new technologies.
