As part of the Honeywell Smart Energy software development team, the IoT Data Scientist will work with software developers, data engineers, architects, Customer Support leaders, and Offering Management stakeholders to discover value from product data, create new cloud native software and service offerings powered by analytics, and optimize both internal and external business processes by enabling data driven decision making. Our industrial Internet of Things products produce a lot of data about what is happening on electricity, gas, and water distribution networks. Our goal is to unlock the value in this raw data using analytics. As an expert with hands-on experience analyzing data, building, training, and validating models, and visualizing results the IoT Data Scientist will be part of an Agile development team and use this expertise to de-risk decision making and rapidly build and test applications, data pipelines, and machine learning models.
Be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Smart Energy. You will use your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. This is a hands-on position on a green field project supported by a software development and data science team with plenty of domain experience. The ideal candidate will focus on design, delivery, and execution while balancing speed with wise planning, judgement, and risk management. This is a design and development position, not an operational position.
