Summary:

As a Data Scientist Assurance Analyst-SCRM for Secure Systems Engineering Services, you will lead and support moderate to highly complex data science and analytics projects to identify, analyze, and prioritize malicious activities and threat vectors as observed within nuclear weapons production supply chains, technologies, and processes. As a Data Scientist you will effectively communicate formal assessments to decision makers and stakeholders to drive effective risk management measures. Job functions include building data analytical products while leveraging existing open source and commercial tools and internal data environments to collect and analyze data for correlation.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a Data Scientist Assurance Analyst with a focus on Adversarial Supply Chain Risk Management in nuclear weapons assurance activities
  • Production- Produce analytical papers and documentation of suppliers within the current A-SCRM process
  • Supply Chain Illumination- Use Software/Opensource Analysis platforms to identify threats and vulnerabilities in the supply chain
  • Supply Chain assurance enhancement- Evaluate Sub-tier suppliers, their connections, and relationships with existing suppliers for production
  • Tool & Process- Create and develop tools and processes to enhance A-SCRM practices and applications
  • Inquiry & Issues Support- Assist in supply chain subversion plausibility studies
  • Process Development- Develop and deploy guidelines, processes, workflows, and standards for department data analytics
  • Provide analysis and research on threat vectors related to product assurance, supply chain, cyber, technologies, and vulnerabilities
  • Prepare assessments of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analysis of open-source information

You Must Have:

  • BS in engineering from ABET accredited institution or Master’s degree in data science or related field, or two years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in data science or related technical activities.
  • Expert using scripting and querying languages, such as Python, R, SQL, and others.
  • Demonstrated experience in serving as a technical lead of moderately complex projects.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, proficient with computer software applications, and the ability to produce and consume written documentation.
  • US citizenship to obtain and maintain US Dept of Energy Q level security clearance

  • Prior Data Science, qualitative and quantitative research experience
  • Prior experience in Intelligence Community, law enforcement or Military
  • Analytical certifications and core competency
  • Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) competency
  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance holders or the ability to obtain one
  • Understanding of information and data collection databases and tools for analysis
  • Highly effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, and group leadership skills are preferred
  • Having an effective, proven ability in decision-making, problem solving, and influencing others is preferred
