Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Leading infrastructure projects that improve logging, monitoring, observability tools and platforms: metrics, dashboarding, alerting, logging, application performance management, blackbox monitoring, and distributed tracing.

-Providing guidance to a team of Customer Operations engineers / specialists to ensure stable logging and monitoring platforms, implementing measures to maintain high performance and uninterrupted availability of key customer web applications across the enterprise.

-Collaborate with Incident and Event Management to troubleshoot and resolve tools platform issues within set SLAs.

-Assist with implementation, administration & operations of Elastic Platform on Kubernetes or Elastic Cloud, AppDynamics or Application monitoring & observability tools, synthetic and real user monitoring tools or Catchpoint.

-Ensure end-to-end monitoring data stack from the product to display layer.

-Partner with application teams to complete required tools installation and ELK updates, patches, version upgrades when required.

-Design & architect the logging workflow and data retention & storage policies and support data science & analytics initiatives.

-Support & oversee the team creating and managing Elasticsearch Index schema's and mappings.

-Develop & configure Logstash pipelines, filebeats, and possibly other ELK tack components to collect and parse the ingested data, and then to transform, store the data for necessary retention period to meet Sponsor requirements efficiently.

- Job Site: Atlanta, GA

- 40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in an Chemical Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of Information Technology experience.

Full term of experience must include: managing a team of engineers working on monitoring & observability tool platforms; application monitoring tools for synthetic and real user monitoring; infrastructure monitoring and application performance monitoring and performance engineering arenas.

Must possess five (5) years of experience on new age technologies, cloud monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Splunk.

Up to 10% international and domestic travel required.

Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
