This is an exciting time to join Honeywell Building Technologies Engineering team. This is a great position to develop and showcase your proven leadership abilities in a highly visible and impactful role within the Building Technologies strategic business group.

We are seeking a Senior Director - Advanced Technology for Building Technologies and who will define and drive the next generation of research, development, and maturation of technology. The Senior Director works closely with the leadership of the HBT CTO, the building technologies business enterprises, and a strong network of customer technical executives. This role also partners with the Technology Strategy & Innovation organization to develop technology roadmaps, pursuit plans, and partnership opportunities. The Senior Director understands the strategic needs of the business and evaluates relevant technologies, provides leadership to the Autonomous Buildings, Next Generation Sensors and Processor platforms, Data Analytics and Insights, Generative AI and collaborates to determine technology needs for autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and execution of technology roadmaps for Autonomy by collaborating with Technology Strategy, Business Unit CTOs, and Business GMs
  • Ensuring linkage to other technology roadmaps, product roadmaps, STRAP inputs, and customer pursuits
  • Influencing and persuading internal and external parties to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches, driving the right value propositions.
  • Developing and retaining a high-performance innovative team
  • Building capability in Systems Engineering and Artificial Intelligence
  • Drive Co-innovation with Technology Partners and Customers
  • Comprehension of the technology capabilities and business objectives with the ability to interact with customers and stakeholders at an executive leadership level.
  • Driving a management operating system that ensures alignment and project performance in accordance with internal and external stakeholder requirements.
  • Developing a robust pipeline and support in winning external contracts aligned with autonomy technology and business strategies.
  • Identifying and engaging with key strategic partners including key academic institutions
  • Budget management

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science
  • 15 years of experience in Technology Development, New Product Development
  • Experience in formal people leadership

  • Experience developing technology or products for autonomous buildings.
  • Experience establishing a strategy and execution plan within an ambiguous environment.
  • Experience leading technology strategy transformation and acted as evangelist for change.

  • Ability to quickly pivot when necessary.
  • Engineering organization management experience with global footprint
