If so, here's your chance to join Honeywell Rebellion as an AI Engineer – a young, dynamic business focused on providing intelligent, automated, visual monitoring solutions for the petrochemical and oil and gas industries that make sites safer, greener, and more profitable. Some of the biggest challenges facing the oil & gas industry is improving its safety and reducing its environmental impact. Our products address both issues by leveraging hyperspectral imaging technology and artificial intelligence to deliver actionable video of invisible gas leaks as they occur so operators can fix them before they become a bigger issue. This position will require 50-60% travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research on image/video processing algorithms
  • Conduct performance evaluations on image/video processing algorithms focused primarily on gas detection
  • Configure and evaluate real time performance of hyperspectral camera systems
  • Leverage signal processing, machine learning and deep learning techniques to solve computer vision problems
  • Possess strong skills in the areas of development and real-time implementation of video processing system
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including from field service, software, sales, and marketing teams, as well as senior leadership and external partners
  • Document results and support continued improvement of performance and customer satisfaction

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in image processing, video processing, such as semantic segmentation, object detection, object tracking, image enhancement (traditional method or deep learning method), etc.
  • Experience with Linux based command line operating systems
  • Ability to obtain passport

WE VALUE

  • Experience with various visualization tools and GUI development, and is comfortable with libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib and PyQt
  • Familiarity with multiprocessing libraries and techniques
  • Educational or professional exposure to basic physics, and advanced topics such as radiative transfer, fluid dynamics and spectroscopy
  • Programming skills to include: Python and C++/C languages
  • Experience with optical systems and imaging sensors, such as long wave infrared sensors, but experience in other wavelength ranges is acceptable
