Job Description

We are looking for an expert (aka specialist) in data engineering, data visualization to join our growing team of finance analytics experts and manage the processes responsible for data representation and visualization. The ideal candidate has a knack for understanding the best way to move, model and architect the data from multiple different systems to be usable by business and non-business users for effective reporting and analytics & should also be able to develop compelling dashboards to convey data patterns in a meaningful and consumable way to both business and non-business users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working experience to design and develop dashboards and reports that translate large amounts of data into interactive graphical and tabular representations using tools such as Tableau and PowerBI by connecting data from multiple RDBMS databases
  • Engage with other Data Engineers to ensure the required data is being modeled the right way to facilitate fast and interactive report development
  • Strong technology experience, preferably past delivery role experience of multiple technologies including but not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, Alteryx, SAP Hana, SAP BI, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL
  • Working knowledge of data mining and data engineering principles: analyzing, mapping and collecting data from multiple on-premise data systems and cloud-based data sources
  • SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
  • Participate in setting data strategy and standards through data architecture and implementation leveraging analytics tools and technologies
  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users to capture the necessary reporting requirements to develop the necessary visualizations
  • Engage with Data Engineers to ensure the required data is being modeled the right way to facilitate fast and interactive report development
  • Work with other visualization engineers to identify synergies for accelerated development
  • Should be able to create complex formulae within the visualization tools to achieve the desired results from the available data
  • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Ability to learn new platforms and technologies quickly and efficiently and advise on best business use
  • Radically challenges the way “things are used”. Creates new efficient ways. Starts at end user and works backwards

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Advanced English
  • 2+ years’ experience in analytics and advanced visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL - Solid ability to query data from proper sources from named spaces, data marts, and/or normalized views, using SQL or an ETL software (e.g. Tableau Prep)
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis - Solid ability to create dynamic dashboards taking advantage of aggregations, proper formatting and utilizing different tools
  • Solid ability to develop reporting portals and host multiple web-based dashboards
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze, explain, and draw logical conclusions from operational and financial data and present findings in a simple manner
  • 3+ years’ experience in procurement operations
  • Good knowledge of statistics (e.g. distributions, correlations)
