Senior Manager, Product Manager

As a Sr. Product Manager on the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) Product team, you will be part of the team designing and delivering best in class ML and AI products for Capital One data scientists, ML engineers and product teams. We’re passionate about experimenting and building products with next-generation technologies.

This role represents the needs of the customer to inform our product roadmap, ensuring we are building and delivering to the needs of the customer and the intended business outcomes. You will be responsible for feature definition and development in partnership with our technology teams.

The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about technology and deeply empathizes with internal and external customer needs. They are comfortable in conversation with engineering and data science teams as well as stakeholders and senior leaders. 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for key components and features.
• Responsible for a team of product managers as well as direct ownership of products.
• Deeply understand the needs of data scientists, engineers and Capital One customers. 
• Prioritize the product backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes.
• Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
• Enable collaboration and ensure communication between teams.
• Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
• Support the team with escalation and resolution of impediments.
• Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One’s mission, and your team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of experience in digital product management 

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or advanced degree in science, engineering or related fields
• 2 years of people leadership experience leading product manager teams

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $195,200 - $222,800 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
