Job Description
Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? Do you enjoy solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment? We are seeking a Manager, Software Engineer to support our Source Code Automation Team!
This team is responsible for providing foundational infrastructure services and shaping the future of Capital One with its support of strategic objectives, such as becoming cloud native through cloud safety and smart cost management, or by looking into what we do well and how we can commercialize it. This team also focuses on shaping the developer experience, staying well-managed with our products and portfolios, and creating access experiences that enable associates to deliver on Capital One’s mission.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in building out the additional tools and features as well as improving the ones we currently support
- Collaborate with external teams to assist them in developing their own campaigns for their common use cases
- Ensure vulnerabilities are well managed through process, tooling, and automation improvements
- Design and implement new automation pipelines and processes
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
