The Intelligence Group is responsible for delivering best-in-class intelligence & insights to support the advertising and commercial ventures for The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Mansion Global & Investor’s Business Daily. We tell compelling & clear narratives using a combination of secondary research sources, internal data and original proprietary thought leadership research. IG team members act as experts in support of our advertising sales efforts, Product & Integrated Marketing, advertising clients & commercial partners.

About the Research Analyst role:

We are seeking a full-time research analyst. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, curious, analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable using data to develop compelling narratives.

Additionally, you will be expected to develop strong working relationships with key sales leads and our marketing team.

You Are:

  • Well-organized and have strong project management skills.
  • An exceptional communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven & statistically minded.
  • Able to work independently, demonstrate efficiency and problem-solving skills in completing required tasks.
  • Interested in market research, human behaviors, and the why behind the what, and an interest in business news media.
  • Timely, professional and know how to deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Ideally proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel as well as Google Sheets, Slides etc.
  • Some background/understanding of the media landscape desirable.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects.

You Have:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, data analytics, data science, or a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience at an advertising agency or in market/media research.

Pay Range: $40,000 - $160,000
