Job Description

Stoneridge, Inc., is an independent designer and manufacturer of highly engineered electrical and electronic components, modules and systems for the automotive, medium and heavy-duty truck, agricultural and off-highway vehicle markets. The Company is comprised of two segments: Electronics and Control Devices. We are seeking a Feature Algorithm Owner to work in advanced product development within the Electronics segment.

The feature algorithm owner will work closely with our engineering teams to launch advanced AI features into Stoneridge’s award winning product “MirrorEye” and many other products. Key features to be developed and launched for the camera monitoring systems include camera calibrations, image stitching, trailer feature detection, lane detection and object detection. The system solution will be included in multiple production projects for commercial vehicles and heavy machines worldwide. This role will focus on the deployment of AI features based on computering vision, machine learning, deep learning, object tracking, etc. Additional responsibilities will include data collection, system simulation, data analysis and vehicle testing.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with algorithm developers and SW/SYS teams in the deployment of level-1 (ADAS) autonomous driving feature system and MirrorEye viewing feature.
• Develop algorithm system architecture together with algorithm engineers, systems engineers and SW engineers.
• Work with System / Software teams to integrate and verify that developed features meet functional requirements on the embedded target environment.
• Join verification with customer engineers and application engineers to get feedback and get performance signed off for production launch.
• Build simulations using IPG CarMaker tool and other simulation tools
• Perform data analysis with feature testing logs and write up testing report
• Work on IP development / patent application.
• Define test methodology using DoE (Design of Experiment) and join vehicle testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree with 4 years’ related experience or Master degree with strong research and development experience in the AI area.
• Knowledge and experience in the data recording & analysis, requirement analysis and verification, customer interface, cooperation with multiple competency teams.
• Coding, modeling and simulation experience with Matlab/Simulink/C++
• Strong problem solving capability
• Self motivated and team work spirit
• Ability to travel 10-20% to customer site
