Job Description

GAIIC provides opportunities to innovate in a fast-paced organization that contributes to game-changing projects and technologies that get deployed on devices and in the cloud. As an applied scientist at GAIIC, you are proficient in designing and developing advanced Generative AI based solutions to solve diverse customer problems. You will be working with terabytes of text, images, and other types of data to solve real-world problems through Gen AI. You will be working closely with account teams and ML strategists to define the use case, and with other scientists and ML engineers on the team to design experiments, and find new ways to deliver value to the customer.

The successful candidate will possess both technical and customer-facing skills that will allow you to be the technical “face” of AWS within our solution providers’ ecosystem/environment as well as directly to end customers. You will be able to drive discussions with senior technical and management personnel within customers and partners.

Key job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate innovative ML models to solve diverse challenges and opportunities across industries

• Interact with customer directly to understand their business problems, and help them with defining and implementing scalable Generative AI solutions to solve them

• Work closely with account teams, research scientist teams, and product engineering teams to drive model implementations and new solutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience

• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

• Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing

• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience

• Experience using Unix/Linux

• Experience in professional software development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
